Understanding how Adovance turns Microsoft Graph data into executive-ready Copilot reporting.
The short version
Adovance is a multi-tenant SaaS platform. After a single admin consent, it reads Microsoft 365 Copilot usage from the Microsoft Graph API, stores it per-tenant, and presents a live executive dashboard of adoption, waste, and ROI.
You connect once. Adovance syncs your data on a schedule. You get reports you can trust and export.

How the data sync works
- You grant consent once as a Global Administrator.
- Adovance syncs Copilot usage from Graph - automatically on a schedule, and on demand.
- The first sync backfills roughly six months of daily adoption-trend history so your charts aren’t empty.
- Each later sync only covers the gap since the last one.
- Reports recompute from the freshest data, using your economics.
💡 Adoption Trend keeps daily history. App Adoption holds a single latest snapshot (overwritten each sync), which is why it shows a week-over-week delta badge instead of its own long-term chart.
The report window selector
Most per-user reports honor a report-window selector (7 / 30 / 90 days) in the top-right of the page. A couple of reports - App Adoption and Adoption Trend - come from a different Graph report family and aren’t affected by that selector.

AI narratives
Adovance generates an AI analysis for every report and a single AI Executive Summary that synthesizes them all, so each chart arrives boardroom-ready without an analyst. These are regenerated after each full sync.
Dollar accuracy is driven by you
License Waste, Reallocation, and ROI are computed from your economics - license cost, blended hourly rate, and inactivity threshold - set on the Settings page. The defaults are placeholders, not real numbers for any customer.
What Adovance will NOT do
- ❌ Write to or change anything in your tenant (read-only access)
- ❌ Require per-user deployment or agents
- ❌ Train AI models on your data
- ❌ Expose one tenant’s data to another
