Installation

How to install Contract Risk Scanner for Microsoft 365 in your Microsoft 365 tenant.

Who can install

Installation must be approved by a Microsoft 365 administrator with permission to install apps in your tenant.

If you’re an end user, share this page with your admin or IT team.

Installation from the Marketplace

Step 1 - Go to the Marketplace

Visit the Microsoft Marketplace listing for Contract Risk Scanner for Microsoft 365 (coming soon).

Step 2 - Click “Get it now”

You’ll be prompted to sign in with a work or school account.

Step 3 - Approve and deploy

Your admin will see a consent screen showing:

  • App name and publisher
  • Required permissions (minimum scopes only)
  • Tenant deployment options

After approval, the agent appears in the Copilot agent picker for licensed users.

Required permissions

Contract Risk Scanner for Microsoft 365 uses the minimum necessary permissions to operate:

  • Access to chat messages and uploaded files (within Copilot)
  • No external API calls
  • No data egress from your tenant

Assigning to users

After installation, assign the agent to user groups via the Microsoft 365 admin center:

  1. Go to Microsoft 365 admin center → Settings → Integrated apps
  2. Find Contract Risk Scanner for Microsoft 365
  3. Click Assign users
  4. Select individuals or groups

Verifying installation

End users should see Contract Risk Scanner for Microsoft 365 in the Copilot agent picker within ~15 minutes of assignment.

If it doesn’t appear:

  • Confirm the user has a license assigned
  • Have the user sign out and back in to Copilot
  • Check Troubleshooting

Uninstalling

Admins can remove the agent at any time from Integrated apps in the admin center. Uninstalling does not delete any user-generated outputs (CSV/JSON files, reports, etc.) - those remain in user storage.
